Day 1 EMBARKATION: 12:00 PM (Lunch | Dinner)

Arrive Kolkata : Upon arrival in Kolkata, transfer to the Botanical Garden Jetty to embark on MV Ganges Voyager. Receive a warm welcome onboard, followed by a safety briefing and lunch. After lunch, embark on a Panoramic Tour of the Heritage Buildings in Dalhousie Square. Named in memory of Lord Dalhousie, who served as the Governor General of India from 1847 to 1856, the square is surrounded by some of Kolkata's most enduring Raj-era monuments. Marvel at the magnificent GPO (General Post Office), the regal Raj Bhawan, the historic St. John's Church, and the Gothic-style Writer's Building during this insightful tour. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 2 KOLKATA – FULIA (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)

The morning is at your leisure, with breakfast served onboard. The ship will sail upstream to Fulia throughout the day, guided by the tide conditions. Along the journey, you will pass below the iconic cantilevered Howrah Bridge and admire various colonial buildings lining the banks of the Ganges River. Enjoy a delightful lunch onboard as you take in the scenic views along the river. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 3 FULIA – MATIARI (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)

In the morning, embark on an excursion of Fulia by e-rickshaws, a charming textile town nestled beside the river Ganges. Fulia is renowned for its expertise in Jacquard and Jamdani Saree Weaving. Jamdani, a handloom woven fabric crafted from a blend of cotton and gold thread, is one of the most intricate and labor-intensive forms of handloom weaving, distinguished by its rich motifs and artistic intricacies. After exploring Fulia, return to the ship and set sail towards the shore-side village of Matiari. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 4 MATIARI - JIAGANJ (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)

Begin your day with an early walk in the village, where you can witness master craftsmen at work. These artisans skillfully utilize recycled copper to craft exquisite pots, platters, and various other items within their workshops scattered throughout the village. Afterward, return to the ship and embark on a full-day sail to Jiaganj. Jiaganj is renowned for its Baluchari weaving, a traditional art form known for its intricate designs and patterns. Anticipate arriving in Jiaganj by evening, where you'll have the opportunity to explore and appreciate the rich heritage of Baluchari weaving. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 5 IAGANJ – BARANAGAR – MURSHIDABAD (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)

Following breakfast, proceed to explore the 18th-century Char Bangla Temple located in the nearby village of Baranagar. Constructed under the patronage of Rani Bhabani, the landlady of Natore (now in Bangladesh), it stands as one of the finest embodiments of Bengal’s terra cotta art. Return to the ship for lunch. Following lunch, take a ride on the Toto (e-rickshaw) to witness the intricate Baluchari sari weaving, renowned for its elaborate ‘palloo' (border or anchal). Afterwards, embark on a visit to the Kathgola Palace (via e-rickshaws), a historic edifice belonging to the Dugar family, prominent Marwari Jain entrepreneurs. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 6 MURSHIDABAD – NABADWIP - KALNA (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)

Following a tranquil morning, relishing breakfast and observing the daily rhythms of life along the riverbanks, we reach Nabadwip, the sacred dwelling of Saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the progenitor of the Hindu Vaishnav tradition and a catalyst for social change. Nabadwip is adorned with a multitude of ancient and contemporary temples representing various Hindu denominations. Traverse the riverside village on foot to witness the indigenous craftsmanship of cotton fabric handloom weaving, particularly saris and scarves. Rejoin the ship and set sail towards Kalna, our next destination. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 7 KALNA – CHANDERNAGORE – KOLKATA (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)

Following breakfast, pay a visit to a local Weaver’s residence to witness the traditional art of Muslin Cloth weaving. Additionally, explore the Nabakailas Temple, erected in 1809 by the Bardhaman Maharaja, boasting 108 aat chala (eight-slope-roofed) shrines. Return to the ship and set sail towards Chandernagore, originally established as a French colony. Wander through the enchanting colonial edifices lining the waterfront, including the former residence of the French governor, now transformed into a museum showcasing artifacts depicting life during that era. Also, make a stop at the venerable Sacred Heart Church, which has stood for 150 years. Return to the ship and resume our voyage towards Kolkata while relishing lunch onboard. We anticipate our arrival in Kolkata by evening. Dinner & overnight stay onboard Ganges Voyager.

Day 8 DISEMBARKATION (Breakfast)

Kolkata : Following breakfast disembark the ship and transfer for your onward journey. Important Note:

  • The itinerary may be altered and adjusted contingent on local conditions and days of the week when monuments/museums are closed. Last-minute sailing adjustments may also happen. The onboard tour staff will announce or post the exact time for each activity in advance.
